Choc Tahini Honey Slice – For Hormone & Gut Support
This Chocolate Tahini Slice is more than just a treat, it’s packed with ingredients that support both gut health and hormonal balance. The base includes Nourished Blends Gut Food, a clinically designed blend of organic wholefoods created to soothe the gut lining and support a healthy, diverse microbiome. It works by using the 4 P’s of gut health - prebiotics, polyphenols, proteolytic enzymes, and postbiotics which all play a key role in digestion, inflammation, and microbiome balance. In fact, a recent clinical study showed a 93.3% improvement in participants’ top digestive symptoms! And when your gut is supported, your hormones benefit too, because a thriving gut helps with hormone detoxification, nutrient absorption, and keeping inflammation in check.
I’ve paired it with a creamy tahini filling (rich in zinc, calcium, healthy fats, and hormone-friendly lignans), added raw honey (a natural prebiotic and blood sugar-friendly sweetener), and coated it in dark chocolate (a good source of magnesium and antioxidants to support your nervous system and stress levels, both key for hormone balance).
Here’s what you need to make it ❤️

3 Tbsp tapioca flour
4 Tbsp Nourished Blends Gut Food Powder (use JORDAN20 for 20% off)
¼ cups cacao powder
½ cup melted coconut oil
2-3 Tbsp honey (maple syrup also works)
½ tsp bicarbonate soda
Pinch of salt
FILLING INGREDIENTS
2 cups hulled tahini
½ cup melted coconut oil
3-4 Tbsp honey (maple syrup also works)
CHOCOLATE TOPPING
2 blocks of dark chocolate
1 Tbsp coconut oil
Garnish options; toasted nuts or seeds, cacao nibs, shredded coconut, bee pollen, strawberry powder
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat your oven to 180°C and line a square slice tin with baking paper.
Add all base ingredients to a food processor and pulse until the mixture comes together.
Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the prepared tin.
Bake for 15 minutes if you want a softer base, or 18-20 minutes if you prefer a more biscuity (crunchy) base.
Remove from the oven and set aside to cool completely.
In a bowl, mix all the filling ingredients until smooth and well combined. Taste and add more sweetener to taste if desired.
Pour the filling over the cooled base and place it in the fridge to set.
Add the chocolate and coconut oil to a small saucepan and melt gently over low heat, stirring until smooth.
Pour the melted chocolate into a shallow bowl.
Once the slice is set, slice into squares.
Line a tray or large board with baking paper.
Dip each slice square into the melted chocolate to coat, then place on the lined tray. Repeat until all slices are coated.
If you have any chocolate leftover, drizzle it over the top for decoration and add your garnishes (e.g. toasted and chopped nuts, coconut etc.).
Return the slices to the fridge to set the chocolate.
Once set, enjoy!
